Healgel Body Review~ Calming, Smoothing And Regenerating

Healgel Body Review~ Calming, Smoothing And Regenerating

Healgel Body Review~ Calming, Smoothing And Regenerating

Today I am reviewing the Healgel for body gel. The formula is really thin and gel like and smells pretty strong, it's quite hard to describe the smell but I personally don't mind it. As you can see on the packaging, it claims to calm, smooth and regenerate which I believe it does. It definitely gives a cooling effect and it also gets absorbed very quickly. I have actually already finished it and I must say it finished pretty quickly. As it is soothing, I choose to use it after dry brushing my skin in the evening before going to bed and I think it worked really well :)

Healgel Body Review~ Calming, Smoothing And Regenerating

Other uses for it that I would recommend would be after being in the sun (sometimes that is not possible for me right now seeing as I live in London lol) or when you have scrubbed your body or shaved. It definitely leaves your skin feeling soft and soothed. As you can see below it contains Salicylic Acid which is why I recommend using it after shaving, as Salicylic Acid is a chemical peel and that can prevent the formation of shaving bumps etc and just keep your hair smooth in general.

Healgel Body Ingredient List

Ingredient Check:
  • Propylene/butylene glycol (√)
  • Silicones (√)
  • Mineral Oil (/)
  • Parabens (/)

Have you tried any of the Heal Gel products?

How did you like it?

Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash & Body Lotion Pistachio Cream with Magnolia & Coconut Milk & Jasmine Petals

Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash &Body Lotion Pistachio Cream with Magnolia & Coconut Milk & Jasmine Petals

Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash & Body Lotion Pistachio Cream with Magnolia & Coconut Milk & Jasmine Petals

Dove Purely Pampering Lotion & Body Wash

So I have been trying out these products for quite a while, and I received them in a goodie bag when I went to their event. I was going to blog about it, and I even had the draft ready but it was just too much of a hassle when I didn't have any wifi.

Dove Purely Pampering Coconut & Jasmine Lotion 250ml: I don't really think this smells of Coconut that much, it definitely smells more of Jasmine but either way it smells amazing! The scent really reminds me of a body lotion I used to use in Sweden.

Dove Purely Pampering Pistachio & Magnolia Lotion 250ml: Although they both smell amazing this is my favourite. I am terrible at describing smells but this one smells kind of nutty.

Both: So the creams almost exactly the same looking at the top parts of the ingredient lists. They are both pretty thin creams but they are still very rich. For me it is perfect for an every day body lotion after showering, but I know some people would prefer an even lighter cream for daily use. The cream gets absorbed quickly into your skin leaving it super soft, but if you use too much it can get a little sticky.

Now for the ingredients. Yes it contains all of the "controversial" ingredients, so if you're into natural products you will probably want to stay away from these. However if these ingredients are safe or not is not for me to say but they definitely do not affect the formula in a negative way. It also contains a lot of great ingredients like Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Sodium PCA (One of the most effective and humectants, and is naturally found in our skin's natural moisturising factor, NMF), Urea (Also found in the skin's NMF and is known to heal cracked skin) and Collagen Amino Acids.

Ingredient Check:
Mineral Oil (√)
Silicones (√)
Parabens (√)
Propylene/Butylene Glycol (√)

Dove Purely Pampering Coconut & Jasmine Lotion/Pistachio & Magnolia Lotion Nourishing Body Wash 250ml: Now I absolutely love these. They are exactly what they are called "Purely Pampering". The body wash looks and feels like a body lotion but will lather when in contact with water. It feels super silky on your skin and smells really nice. I will definitely repurchase these as Body washes are some of my favourite body washes as they come in really nice scents and aren't drying. However, as they are very rich and moisturising, they don't lather as much as a normal shower gel which will mean you're using quite a lot of products and it finishes quite quickly.

Ingredient Check:
Mineral Oil (√) (Petroleum)
Silicones (/)
Parabens (/)
Propylene/Butylene Glycol (√)

Lauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark Review And Results

Lauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark
 Review And Results

Lauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark Review And Results

DARKER THAN DARK GLAM TAN (250ml), £19.95: So I am sure you have all seen a lot of reviews for fake tan, last year especially by a lot of mixed and black people (sorry I can't stand the word woman of colour). For black people and dark skin tones, fake tan can give that tanned, bronzed glow and colour and for mixed people and lighter skin tones, it can make you a LOT darker (lol) and also give that bronzed type of look. Also, for any skin tone it can make your skin appear more even and hide discolourations or imperfections in your skin. Anyway, I too can often look and feel pale so when I was asked to review the LW Tan I thought- why not.

Lauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark Review And ResultsLauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark Review And Results
I had never tried fake tan before except for a gradual tan face cream (check out the review here) and I really liked it. As you can see, I achieved great results. The funny thing is that I tried the product after I got back from Nigeria, which means I already had quite a bit of a tan. However, my leg on which I had not used the product on looks so incredibly pale!! I applied the product as evenly as I could with the application mitt that I was also given and the results showed up immediately, I didn't wait for the product to set or anything before taking these pictures. As I am definitely a beginner with fake tan and it looked quite even, I will have to say that it was fairly easy to get an even results with this product! For application directions and ingredient list, click on the picture above (to the right).

Lauren's Way (LW TAN) Self Tan Bronzing Glam Tan Darker Than Dark Review And Results

Guys please ignore my knees lol and the weird angles. I took the other people holding the camera myself, and this one with the self timer. However my self timer doesn't actually work as it focuses when you initially press the shutter button and not just before it takes the picture- resulting in blurry pictures. The result lasted for quite a few days despite showering and scrubbing as usual. I think this was a great product and absolutely does what it says. The results show up immediately and are long lasting. This is the newer, darkest formula believe so there are lighter shades available.

Have you tried this product?

Do you use fake tan?

DHC Olive Body Butter Butter Review

DHC Olive Body Butter Butter Review

DHC Olive Body Butter Butter Review

DHC Olive Body Butter, £15: This is a way overdue review, but I really wanted to post it anyway as I really like the product. It is quite price at £15 for 100g, and it might look like any body butter. However I am very impressed with the ingredient list, and it has got a lot of interesting ingredients in there! It's thick but not greasy and smells super yummy. For me, it is perfect for a every day body lotion but I know some people prefer a lighter lotion for every day use. If you're one of them- use it on dry areas like hands, elbows, knees and feet or once in a while before you go to bed as a special treat! :)

DHC Olive Body Butter Butter Review

Description: "Wrap your skin in a decadent veil of hydration from seven botanicals: shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, squalane and argan oil. It hydrates and seals in moisture from natural emollients for ultra softness—from your fingers to your toes." The description is very accurate as it contains all of the ingredients mentioned, even in that order (in the ingredient list). It definitely hydrates your skin and seals in moisture.

Concept: Now here is the part I don't fully get. Contrary to some (a lot) companies who will call a product "Olive Oil" but the product mainly consists of Sunflower seed oil- it is true that the main oil in this product is Olive Oil. However both Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter are before Olive Oil in the ingredient list, meaning it contains more of those two ingredients. On top of that, the product doesn't have a "Olive oil scent", nor is it coloured green like most Olive Oil products are. This isn't a problem in terms of how the product works, but I am not sure why it is called "Olive Body Butter
Formula: Now the consistency is that of a normal body butter, think the body shop shea body butter for example. Anyway, even though it doesn't smell of Olive/Olive Oil it smells pretty amazing.. I'd say it smells pretty fruity! :)

DHC Olive Body Butter Butter Ingredient list

Ingredients: This is a picture I took of the ingredient list, and I think it is a very impressive one! Straight after water there is a silicone, then Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter & Glycerin. The oils in the body butter are: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Avocado Oil & Argan Oil. I think we all know the benefits of natural butters and oils on our skin so no need for me to go on about that. However you might not have heard of Squalane:
  • This is an expensive ingredient which is derived from Squalene, which in turn is derived from Shark Oil. The reason that Squalane is used instead of Squalene is because it is cheaper and it is also more stable, and has a longer shelf life (source). Anyway Squalane is a lipid that occurs naturally in our bodies and can moisturise your skin and heal crapped skin.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss with Subtle Skin Illuminators Review

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss with Subtle Skin Illuminators Review

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss with Subtle Skin Illuminators Review

This is a product I've actually had before a few years ago. Except for going crazy tanning 24/7 when it is sunny here in London, I also feel a need to be super shimmer lol! I randomly remembered this body lotion and went on a hunt to purchase it- couldn't find it in Boots and I couldn't find it in Superdrug. Eventually I remembered I had seen it recently in my local hair shop and bought it from there for £3-£4 I think.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss with Subtle Skin Illuminators Review

I actually don't use Cocoa Butter since it contains a lot of Mineral Oil and I find it kind of sticky and weird. If you want the effects of Cocoa Butter you can just buy pure Cocoa Butter and use on your skin (which I do). However- this formula is a lot better than the normal one. It does contain both Silicones, Parabens and Propylene Glycol but the two latter are very far down in the list. As you can see below in the pictures of the consistency- it is very thick.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss with Subtle Skin Illuminators Review

My thoughts on this? It is a heavy lotion, closer to a body butter with loads of gorgeous shimmers. It really is like a highlighter/illuminator for your skin and I would use this on a really sunny day, just on my arms and legs.

Have you tried this product?
What do you think of Shimmer lotions, & what do you think of the normal Palmer's Cocoa Butter?

♥ January Empties

January Empties Post

These are definitely all from January, of course, but I finished these all 2-1 months ago. I actually have more empties but I didn't want to put to many in the same post. In this post I've got some hair staples, #bbloggersxmas goodies & Body Shop haul products.

1. Tresemme Naturals Vibrantly Smooth Conditioner & Tresemme Naturals  Nourishing Moisture Conditioner: My staple. This is a perfect detangler but probably mentioned one too many times in my blog. Read review here

2. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil: I absolutely love this. I got it from the #bbloggersxmas goodie bag and even though I love oils, and I sometimes use the Oil Cleansing Method- I didn't have high hopes for this as I assumed it might contain mineral oil or just be like a normal oil. However, since it is water soluble it makes it the perfect face cleanser and totally worth buying. See review here

3. BodyShop Watermelon Body Lotion: A great everyday body lotion. It contains nice ingredients and is very light weights. I bought it when it was on sale for £2 and it was a part of my big BodyShop Haul, see here. It smells aa-mazing!

4. BodyShop Cucumber Freshening Water (face toner): This stuff is actually amazing actually. If I don't remember it wrong, it contains Rose Water which is a great natural ingredient. It also smells nice. See this in my Bodyshop Haul post or in my current skin regime post.

5. BodyShop Hemp Moisture High Balm: Although this stuff doesn't smell very nice, you might know that I love the BodyShop hemp product range. Hemp is very beneficial for dry or senstive skin and I would say that this is an allround balm or a natural vaseline type of product. See in an old Bodyshop haul post here.

6. Beauty Formulas Tea Trea Deep Nourishing Conditioner: My favourite cheap conditioner after the Tresemme one. I was so happy to find this at Poundland for £1, but when I went to repurchase they weren't selling it anymore. However, I just found it at my local Pharmacy and stocked up!  See review here.

7 The Bodyshop Chocomania Dry Oil (*) : Another product from my massive Bodyshop haul. I absolutely love this. To start with, all the BS dry oils smell amazing. They are really light weight and I think they are perfect to use after showering to lock in moisture. See review here.

8. The BodyShop Warming Mineral Mask: This is one of my oldest products, I think its a bit over a year, in other words expired. I didn't finish exactly all of this, not because I didn't like it- I probably just had another face maks to use. This really works in it is warming on the skin, this gives my skin a sort of itchy feeling when it is on, and the formula is pretty thick. See it in a post here.

Have you tried any of these products?
& if you recently wrote an empties post, link it please :)

♥ CLARINS Extra Firming Body Cream

CLARINS Extra Firming Body Cream Review/Overview

Described on Clarin's website as "A rich, velvety cream to pamper the body. A formula rich in eight regenerating and firming plant extracts which help restore the skin's youthful density and elasticity. Moisturising and nourishing, this comforting body cream instantly smoothes away lines, leaving skin soft, satin-smooth and supple."

This cream is meant so smooth and firm your skin by using six active ingredients. They describe this on the Clarin's website as:

"- Lemon thyme extract: protects elastic fibres for more supple skin.
- Extracts of bocoa, centella asiatica and lemon thyme: encourage the synthesis of collagen fibres for increased skin resistance.
- Shea butter and jojoba oil: moisturise and nourish the skin."

When I took these pictures I didn't have the box it came in and there is no ingredient list on the jar itself. I also could not find it online, the closest I got to finding it, was finding the Clarins Extra Firming Body Lotion, which I am assuming is a lighter version of the butter. Find that here. So looking at that list, I will do the usual ingredient check.

  • Mineral Oil (/)
  • Silicones (√)
  • Parabens (/)
  • Butylene/Propylene Glycol (√)

I used this last time I was in Sweden for three weeks but I didn't use it long enough to say if it actually made my skin more firm. But it is a fairly thick and nourishing butter (think body shop butters) and one of the top ingredients is Shea Butter so it will definitely keep your skin feeling nice.

Has anyone tried this?

♥ Santa's Sack Bubble Bar from Lush

Santa's Sack Bubble Bar from Lush

I got this bubble bath bar from the bbloggersxmas event, and yesterday I decided to try it. I don't usually do bubble baths because I feel like normal bubble bath soaps are just really harsh. As you can see, this is a solid Bubble Bar which means you have to break a piece of and crumble it under the tap- also, it doesn't contain any preservatives.

Described on LUSH's website: "We’ve all been good enough to deserve a festive bath of softening bubbles with the scent of fizzy drinks. With tonka, neroli and tagetes this bubble bar is kind to the skin and a gift to the nose."

I have mixed feelings about Lush, I feel like they wan't to come across as a natural brand, or that people confuse "hand made" with natural. So I wasn't surprised to see that this contains sulfates. However I have to say this really did not feel like the usual bubble bath- it felt pretty moisturising. From using it I could really feel that it contained at least one oil because the water felt really nice and non drying while using this.

Overall I think this is a great alternative to your usual foam baths since it contains no preservatives and contains a few nourishing oils. £4.15 is a bit steep considering they are saying that this is enough for only 3 uses. Not sure why three exactly as you can obviously choose how much to put in your bath, and it will still foam up even though you don't use a lot.

Ingredient check (see all ingredients here):

  • Mineral Oil (/)
  • Silicones (/)
  • Sulfates (√)

Has anyone tried these?

♥ Yummy! Bodyshop Watermelon Body Lotion

Bodyshop Watermelon Body Lotion

Buy it from here, it is still £2 on sale online :)

This smell so yummy. That is the only way to describe it, and also the most important thing about this lotion. I bought this in This BodyShop haul on sale and it is a perfect everyday lotion. I usually shower in the morning and when I do so, I just use a shower oil. But for me it's perfect for the days I can't shower in the morning, it's fairly light and smells amazing. As with any body lotion it's not rich at all and won't keep you moisturised for that long. It's more of a freshen your skin up product to me!

Ingredients?

They are quite good as with most of Bodyshop's products these days. It contains both Shea Butter and a few nourishing oils.

  • Mineral Oil (/)
  • Silicones (√)
  • Parabens (/)
  • Butylene/Propylene Glycol (√)
Have you tried this or seen it?
I actually hadn't seen this product until I saw it on sale.

♥ Queen Amina Shea Butter Review

Queen Amina Shea Butter Review

I got this Shea Butter from my lovely Aunty who recently attended a networking event. I think she told the man who sells these products that her niece has a blog, and he offered to give her some Shea Butter that I could review.

It isn't a Shea Butter mix or whipped or anything, so it is just Shea Butter. In the past, I have done a few post on Shea Butter (read my most recent one here), and I have tried a few different brands. This actually really surprised me positively.

I'm not going to review Shea Butter on it's on, you'll have to read my previous post for that. But what I love about this product is that it is very creamy, not sure if he has melted it or anything- but compared to the other Shea Butter I have.. this is soo soft and easy to work with.

There is a mention of this on their facebook page saying: "Queen Amina Organic Shea butter is handmade and the technique used produces a sublime softness creating an experience only royalty can describe and certainly, Queen Amina would have said the same."

I used it on my face this night actually, since my DIY facial oil had just finished! It was greasy when applied, obviously, but when I woke up my face felt very soft!

Where do you get Shea Butter from?
How do you use it?

♥ Chocomania Beautifying Oil

Chocomania Beautifying  Dry Oil Review

Use this for your hair, face or body! (Click on picture below for link to Bodyshop)

Seven first ingredient, full ingredient list here Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Emollient), Dicaprylyl Carbonate (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil/Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter/Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter (Emollient)

Described on the website as "Beautifying Oil is pure beauty in a bottle. Made with a lightweight blend of nut oils including Community Fair Trade marula oil, it gives instant hydration and a shimmering finish. This one has a deliciously chocolatey scent"

What is a dry oil?
From what I've understood it's a more lightweight oil, usually mixed with other emollients too. When I apply this on my body there is a noticeable difference to normal oils, there is no grease. Think a super light oil, but just as moisturising.

Results?
This really is amazing! You guys already know I love the Chocomania range, I bought it last winter I think and loved it (see here). One thing I love is the bottle, it really squirts the oil out making it easy to apply.

For hair: I used this when I straightened my hair for the first time in 7 months plus (see pics here). I found that it made it super soft. Not sure if products not containing water can moisturise but I felt like it moisturised my hair too.

For body: Amazing to use as an in shower/bath oil or just to use on skin after showering. Big plus for smelling amazing. My skin has not been dry since using this. I shower every day which means it keeps your skin non dry for at least 24 hours.

For face: Although I tried it, I haven't used it a lot on my face, only because I have another facial oil I use (see DIY here)

♥ Benefits of Vitamin E Oil

 Benefits of Vitamin E Oil

I mentioned Vitamin E oil from Holland & Baretts in my winter essentials post here before. The reason why it's so great is because you can simply add a few drops to your existing stuff, kind of tweaking them for winter time.

What are the benefits of Vitamin E (oil)?

  • Promotes cell growth/stops cellular damage
  • I.e. for skin is can help heal and fade scars
  • The oil can help stop cracked skin and make it heal quicker

The consistency is super thick, so you may want to mix it with a carrier oil. Read more about this below.

How can I use this?

  • Add to your Daily Face moisturiser
  • Add to your Facial Oil (DIY Here)
  • Add to your Hand Cream
  • Add to your Body Lotion
  • Add to your Cuticle Oil (DIY Here)
  • Scalp or hair oil
Practically anything that you use to nourish and moisturise your skin! Remember that the Vitamin E molecule is very large and is best absorbed to skin in conjunction with Jojoba Oil (which has smaller molecules). Read more about this here.

For the UK: Buy Holland & Barett Vitamin E Oil here
For the US: Buy Jason Vitamin E Oil here

Have you, or will you try this?

♥ Stress Free and Sleepy

Neal's Yard Remedies Massage WorkShop

I was so excited to get invited to Neal's Yard Remedies massage workshop today.
Why? I love NYR as a brand, I love giving massages (yup full time masseuse, when I was younger for my mum, now for my boyfriend lol) and oils and essentials oils really intrigue me. The event/workshop was held ahead of the National Stress Awareness Day (7th November) which I think was a great idea, especially since I didn't even know about this day and really tend to stress a lot.

We got some goodies with us to put our new talents to the test :) Carrier oil and high quality Rose Essential oil from NYR. The candle below is super relaxing and all natural, smelling it already reminds me of the event.

A super easy way if you don't have your own scented candle is to use one of these, put a night light candle in one of these burners, put water mixed with a few drops of essential oils at the top.

We learnt Indian head massage, hand massage and back massage and it was all taught by Elaine Tompkins who is their head of massage. For those who don't know Neal's Yard Remedies don't only do organic cosmetics they also teach massage courses and they also offer a variety of Therapies like Aromatherapy, acupuncture etc.

Hereis the info about the course if anyone's interested in trying it.

What do you do to relieve stress?
& are you interested in massaging or just getting massaged lol :)

♥ Body Shop Haul :)

BodyShop Haul

Oh my god, I don't know what it's like in other countries but in the UK (or at least London) when you expect a delivery that needs to be delivered personally to you- it's just a hassle!
To start with, they cannot say when they will come which means they can come anytime from 9-7 and you have to stay home all day to receive the parcel. This delivery company however seemed as though they were unable to knock on the door, or even give a little shout seeing as I was home BOTH times when they first tried to deliver it to me. Please note I've never Not heard anyone knocking on the door before so I just think these people need to knock a little harder.

Anyway, I finally got the parcel today and was so relieved, no more waiting around all day. Some of the things I had ordered (see what here), and the rest were sent to me.

  • The BodyShop Cucumber Refreshening Water (Toner)
  • The BodyShop Cucumber Cleansing Milk
  • The BodyShop DeoDry dry effect deodorant (contains no aluminium)
  • The BodyShop Water Melon Body Lotion (I've swatched it, it was surprisingly rich and smelled yummy)
  • The BodyShop Chocomania Beautifying Oil (*), Dry Oil for body, face & hair. (Guys this is light weight and smells amazing, you know I love the Chocomania range, mentioned here & here)
  • The BodyShop Amazonian Wild Lily Eau De Toilette (*) (Not to big on flowery scents, but a great every day scent. Really needed as well since my perfumes are running out)
  • The BodyShop Coconut Flavoured Lip Gloss (*) (very shimmery light pink gloss which smells amazing)
  • The BodyShop Melon Flavoured Lip Gloss (*) (oh my god. Yummy!)
  • The BodyShop All in One BB Cream (*) Colour Adapting Tinted Cream (I am so intrigued by this. I swatch it on my hand and it turned from white to my exact skin tone, can't wait to try)- And yeah I'm a BB Cream Virgin :o

What do you think of my haul?
Have u tried any of these things?

♥ The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Milk

The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Milk

View it here: www.bodyshop.com || Buy it here: www.amazon.com

Description: "This lightweight spray-on body moisturiser has the scent of fresh roses || Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother || Rose scent" . I bought this because I've been dying for a spray body lotion because I thought it would be great for every day use. The fact that it has a means it's super quick to use daily after showering and best of all, it's really easy to distribute evenly on the skin- reaching places we tend to neglect like our backs.

Ingredient check (view Full list here):

Silicones √
Mineral Oil /
Parabens √
Butylene/Propylene Glycol /
Sulfates /

Result: This actually surprised me positively. After having a look at the ingredient list I gathered that due to a lot of silicones, the main use for this would probably be to smooth the skin for daily use, as opposed to nourish it. After using it after showering everyday since I bought it, I've been proven wrong. Every morning before showering (at this point i showered 24h ago) I've checked the state of my skin, not dry at all. Not even my legs!

Conclusion: Perfect for every day use or for non dry skin. Won't leave your skin feeling dry in between uses and is super handy to bring for travelling, or even to spray on wet skin after showering to lock in moisture.

Have you tried this? Have you tried the Moroccan Rose Products?

♥ Major Bargain Alert

Major BodyShop Bargain Alert Guys

Since like every other of my posts contain a the Body Shop product, you've probably realised that I am a big fan. Today I went on to their website (which is amazing, yay for full ingredient lists) and as a true bargain hunter I was immediately drawn to the "Sale, under £3" section link.

I'm out of face wash and I haven't used a toner in a long while, so it's fair to say I'm in need of one. That's why I was super happy to find the Cucumber Cleansing Milk AND the matching toner.

So I placed my first online Body Shop order and it came up to £8 for:
Cucumber Cleansing Milk, Cucumber Water ( the toner), Deodry Fresh & Zesty & Watermelon Body lotion.

These are my picks, they are all 50%, and under £3 (click on the picture to get to view the item on bodyshop.co.uk)

The downside is this sale is online only, and they only ship to the uk. I have two voucher codes for you guys:

  • Code: EXTRA || 40% Off. (does Not work on sales items) (Valid: 29th October)
  • Code: Vouchercodes (click on it) || 30% off, Does include sales items (Valid: 28th October)
I used the voucher code one. It's my first time using them and I just found it through google. It worked wonders and I'm so glad I found it since I was slightly dissappointed by the £3 shipping. With my order, after the 30% voucher codes discount it turned out to be almost the same price as with no shipping. Enjoy guys!.. xx

♥ NYR Bee Lovely Range

Neal's Yard and Remedies Bee Lovely Bath & Shower Gel

I was so excited to try this shower gel from NYR's new Bee Lovely range. I've written about the range before here in a blog post. The description said it would contain honey (of course) and smell of Orange essential oil. Orange Oil happens to be my favourite scent so I was really excited!

Description (from NYR website here, <- also view ingredients here)

• Gently cleansing
• Enriched with moisturising organic honey
• Natural uplifting scent of orange and mandarin
• Helps raise money for our bee lovely charities and projects

What do I like about this?

I love the scent, and it is not like an artificial Orange smell (like Bodyshop Satsuma). There is no fragrance in this shower gel (great for sensitive skin or the whole family) so the scent obviously comes from the essential oils.  Something I usually don't care about when I review stuff is the packaging. However I really really like the packaging. There is something about the hard dark plastic bottle that makes it look pretty luxorious (which it is at £14.00). The fact that there is a pump is really handy when you are showering. I never paid notice to the fact that hardly any shower gels have a pump and how inconvenient that is. The cleansing agent in this is Cocamidopropyl Betaine which is really gentle. Except for being Sulfate free this shower gel is also paraben, and silicone free.

What do I not like?

I don't really dislike anything but the only thing might be the price. It is very pricey- but then again it supports a specific course (However this was a PR Sample so I did not pay for this).  Something I know some people mind is the fact that it doesn't lather massively. Meaning it really does lather! But not as much as your used to with Sulfates. I just think that's a good think, it feels more natural and gentle on your skin (which it is) when it doesn't lather too much.

Do you like NYR guys and have you tried anything from the BeeLovely range?
