♥ Love & Hiphop Atlanta Make up Series Pt.3: Jocelyn Bright Pink & Hot Pink

Love & Hiphop Atlanta Make up Series Pt.3: Jocelyn Bright Pink & Hot Pink

I actually did this look just before I did the look of Erica Dixon from Love & Hip Hop (link), but I didn't want to post them both at the same time. This picture of Jocelyn is one I found on google so I'm not sure when or if she wore this on the show- but I've been loving bright pink shadow for so long and I just had to give it a try! :)

This is such a simple look, Jocelyn is only wearing yellow from what I can see but I decided to add some brown shadow above the crease line. Other than that I only used eyeliner, mascara and filled in my brows.

Something I realised while doing this is that I kinda have hooded lids (or slightly) which means when you put shadow on your crease, it won't even show in some angles- hence the awkward angles lol!

  • Maybelline or Une foundation
  • NYC Grey Eyeshadow for my brows (link)
  • NYR Organic Bronzer for slight contouring (link)
  • INGLOT bright yellow eyeshadow (link)
  • INGLOT matte brown shadow (link)
  • Liquid Eyeliner from COMPANY magazine
  • Lipstick- Homemade (link)

What do you think of this look?
Did you watch Love & Hip Hop Atlanta?

♥ FOTD- My Make up Palettes Pt. 4

This is my make up of today :) A while ago I started a series called "My Make Up Palettes", which simply is creating a look with one of my many eye shadow palettes.

This is the eye shadow palette I used. I got it a long while ago and I don't know a lot about the brand (Victoria Jackson). All I know is it's a bit dodgy, because it's not sold in any shops- instead they usually have people approaching people at colleges, universities, beauty salons etc. explaining how this brand is used by Hollywood starts etc.

I got this palette which has 3 eyeshadows, 2 lip colours, 1 blusher and 1 bronzer. You also got another one with different colours, plus a kabuki brush and a mascara. All of this was £20 and I have to say however dodgy it might seem- I love them. As you can see I've almost finished two of the eyeshadows.

For this look I'm also wearing my Calvin Klein Nude Lip Stick.

This Picture shows off the true colour a bit better!

So back to the palette.

Quality: There is no fall out when I use this, it's easy to blend and goes on smoothly.
Lasting Power: From what I can remember this last all day.
Would I buy again: Not the whole palette, since I only use the eye shadows. Another issue is that I can't find the ingredients of this anywhere. So it could be that it contains Mineral Oil and other nasties, but I wouldn't know.

What do you think of this look?
Do you know anything about this brand?

♥ Prom/Spring Make up Look Collab (My Make up Palettes Pt.3)

My Make up Palettes Pt.3 / Prom (Spring) Make up Look collab

So Carolin from "My Boudoir" suggested that we could do a Prom look together, and I though why not! It's quite a topical look since a lot of people are graduating (including me) and going to prom.

She is very talented at doing make up and she's the blogger who inspired me to do this look, Roberto Cavalli- Peacock Eyes.

As you might know I've done a make up series called My Make up Palettes (view previous ones here) recently so this will also be a part of that.

Isadora Outlet Collection Palette in the shades "12 Heather Moore".

-I used the yellow shade (on the far left) on my lid
-I used the green shadow in the middle above my crease
-I used the purple/brown shadow in my crease and on my lower lash line
-I used the yellow one in my tear duct and corner of my upper lash line
-I used the light pink colour on the right underneath my brow

I noticed that a couple of people were actually interested in eyeshadow ingredients. This one does not contain mineral oil, but contains quite a lot of parabens, and also Lanolin which some people mind (I don't)

I only used these three brushes. Two of them are from the Real Techniques Starter (link) set and the shading brush (the middle one) was bought individually. If you have the eyebrow brush, omg, try using it for "harder" lines or on your lower lash line. It's perfect!!

I used MUA jet black eyeliner (mentioned here), Clarin's Mascara (Reviewed here), and Rimmel's eyebrow pencil (mentioned here)

For my slightly winged eye liner I used Maybelline Gel Liner (Reviewed here) and applied it with my Fake Bobbi Brown Eyeliner Brush

♥ Make Up: My Eyeshadow Palettes Part. 2

Isadora Eyeshadow Quartet, from here

This is fairly old, I actually got it from my mum. She uses this brand a lot but she didn't want this quartet. The swatches are made without an eyeshadow primer and as you can see they are well pigmented.

I feel that I always use eyeliner (liquid and gel) and make the same look so I wanted to try something different. The eyeliner I used for this look is the MUA one for £1, it's great.

Quality: As the description says (linked in the beginning) this eye shadow is fairly creamy, and there is definitely no fall off. It is also very pigmented as you can see in the swatches.
Lasting Power: Well I didn't wear this look out and I haven't used it a lot but I'd say it's average.
Would I buy again: They are a bit pricey (Read: I'm stingy) but they are great quality so yes!

What do you think of this look? Have you used Isadora products, I think the brand is Swedish or Scandinavian :)

♥ Make Up: My Eyeshadow Palettes Part.1

MUA Trio Eyeshadow in shade: Eden

I wouldn't say I collect make up, but I do have more than a few eyeshadow palettes lying around. So I thought I'd do a little series where I use some of those palettes to create different looks and do a little review of it.

The first one is my MUA Trio Eyeshadow in shade "Eden", you can get it here.

View a collage of the look HERE (My instagram)

Quality: I think these shadows are great, they apply really well an the quality is good. They are also very pigmented.
Lasting Power: I think the lasting power is good and I haven't noticed them creasing or anything.
Would I buy again: Quality wise, yes!! They're great. But I am very ingredient aware and they contain both mineral oil & parabens which is really unnecessary, so unless the ingredients changed, no.

Have you tried these eyeshadow trios? What do you think of them?
