Eye öf hörus/Eye Of Horus Lazuli Blu Goddess Pencil

Eye öf hörus/Eye Of Horus Lazuli Blu Goddess Pencil

Today I am reviewing the Eye öf hörus/Eye Of Horus Lazuli blu Goddess Pencil which is a really pigmented and creamy eyeliner. Here is what Eye of Horus say about it on their website:

"Gorgeous aquamarine  / Lazuli Blu is perfect for day wear to illuminate eyes or get that eye popping effect for evening wear Goddess Eye Liner pencils are uniquely formulated with beautiful waxes in a creamy rich formula ideal to draw, smudge, smoke, and define the eye blending, or combining with our Goddess Eye shadows. Smudger on tip allows to define or smoulder as much as you like. Safe to apply to waterline, It literally glides onto the lid so smoothly with no pull, and once it sets its truly waterproof and has lasting power that stays all day and night."

I put together this super quick and easy smokey eye just for the sake of the review, and to show you how you can wear this eyeliner to add a bit of colour to your usual eye makeup look. You could also use it as a base for your eyeshadow, so if you are wearing blue shadow, apply the eyeliner all over the lid, and then your blue eyeshadow on top for a more intense colour.

So on one end you've got the eyeliner itself and on the other side a smudger which is very useful for a softer or more smokey look. When you swatch it, it's really really shimmery, but not too pigmented unless you build the colour up. However, despite being a creamy eyeliner the staying power is very good! It sort of dries once applied and after that it doesn't even smudge.

What do you think of this look,
and this eyeliner?

Eartnicity Mineral Eyeshadow Arabic Liner Makeup

Eartnicity Mineral Eyeshadow Arabic Liner Makeup

Eartnicity Mineral Eyeshadow Arabic Liner Makeup on hooded eyes

This is not only my first eye makeup look inwhat must be like 6 months or so (!!), but also a review of the Earthnicity Eyeshadows. I've previously mentioned them here in a first thoughts post, and I've done another EOTD with them here. I am also trying out my DHC liquid eyeliner (from this Goodie bag), which when I first tried it- I reaally disliked. It was really watery. This is like the third time I've tried it and I finally got some great results.

Eartnicity Mineral Eyeshadow Arabic Liner Makeup on hooded eyes

You can see all I used for this look in the picture below. It was a super easy and quick look to do and would suit most eye shapes :)

Eartnicity Mineral Eyeshadow Swatches and review

So what are my thoughts on the Earthnicity Eyeshadows?

  • Amazing quality, they are very fine milled and super pigmented.
  • I didn't experience any fall out despite them being loose eyeshadows.
  • I can't comment on staying power as I didn't wear this look out but for the hours I wore this at home, they didn't fade one bit

What do you think of this look?

♥ La Colors EP42 Wildflowers Palette EOTD

La Colors EP42 Wildflowers Palette EOTD

La Colors EP42 Wildflowers Palette EOTD
I showed this in my most recent beauty shopping post, read it here. For those who don't know LA Colors is a brand where everything is £1, and in London you can find it in Afro hair shops as well as most perfume stores in shopping centres. I got this one from the shopping centre Westfield (the real Westfield, not the Stratford one ;) )
La Colors EP42 Wildflowers Palette EOTD

This look was so much prettier in real life, but oh well- it's so hard to take nice pictures of makeup. I love the shades in this palette and they are creamy any pigmented. If you care about good ingredients (which I do lol, but I don't care as much anymore), then you should know that this contains both Parabens & Mineral Oil.

What do you think of this look?

♥ EOTD: Wet & Wild Makeup Look using Pride Orgueil & Greed Gourmandise

EOTD: Wet & Wild Makeup Look using Pride Orgueil & Greed Gourmandise

A picture of Wet & Wild Makeup Look using Pride Orgueil & Greed Gourmandise
Here is yet another makeup look using my new Wet & Wild palettes, I absolutely love them so far and I'm so happy I found a place that stocks them. The light coral & beige matte shades in the Greed Gourmandise are perfect transitioning and highlighting shades and I've used them for all my makeup looks since I bought the palette. Even though at first glance it might seem like I've mainly used the Pride Orgueil (blue/turquoise) palette but I've actually used all three mattes from the Greed Gourmandise (Coral & Black shades) palette as well.

How I got this look:

♥ Smokey Eyes Using Inika Mineral Eyeshadow Shade Autumn Plum

Smokey Eyes Using Inika Mineral Eyeshadow Shade Autumn Plum

Just wanted to share this makeup look I created yesterday night, the main shadow I used was INIKA Autumn Plum. I have tried it and reviewed it before here, but hadn't had the chance to use it in that many looks before, but I absolutely love it now :)

What I used for this look:

On my cheeks I used my new staple Sleek Face Form (Shade light, 373), isn't it great?
I've used the blusher on my cheeks (you can see the colour of it better on the first pic), the highlighter and the contouring shade for my cheeks. I've also contured my temples (look at the first pic).

What do you think of this look?

♥ Valentines Makeup Series Pt. 1 Luscious Red Lips

Valentines Makeup Series Pt. 1

I will be doing a min Valentines makeup series for a few days. It will probably be 3-4 posts and this is the first one.

For my lips, I used MUA shade 3 (click for review) and 2true red lip gloss on top. I think this was a great combo, I didn't use a lip liner or concealer around my lips or anything like that. All I did was use a lip brush to give a more defined look. Best of all, as you know, the MUA lipstick is onyl £1 and the 2true lip gloss is £2 or £3.

For my eyes, I used my Victoria Jackson palette, COMPANY liquid eyeliner, INIKA soft organic eyeliner pencil and Viva La Diva eyebrow pencil.

How do you like my 1st Valentines look?
If you've done a Valentines beauty post, link it please :)

♥ Pretty Purple Eyes

Pretty Purple Eyes

Here is a little Sneak Peek of an upcoming whole FOTD look I will be posting very soon. I definitely wanted to use some shades I don't usually use, and I think it came out quite pretty.

How to get this eye makeup?

  • Use a shimmery white/light shadow on your eyelid
  • Use a nude transitioning shade to blend out the light shade and bring it up towards your brow
  • Apply a plum shade in your crease/outer V and blend.
  • In the outer corner of your eye, apply a "dot" of a very dark purple shade for definition, and blend out.
  • Apply eyeliner & liquid eyeliner!

♥ Intense Cat Liner & Dramatic Lashes

Intense Cat Liner & Dramatic Lashes

All the products I used are in a picture at the end of this post

For today's makeup look I am wearing an intense eye liner, a defined crease and a contoured and glowing face! This is definitely a going out look because I am wearing foundation, concealer and everything as well as a lot of eyeshadows & eyeliner.

To make this a day time look- skip the heavy base of foundation and concealer for a normal moisturiser or bb cream. Wear no eyeshadow or neutral shades as opposed to this sparkly heavy eyeshadow.

How to do the eyes?

  • Apply a neutral eyeshadow to your lid
  • Use a black eyeliner to draw a line on or slightly above your crease
  • Blend the black line out with a thing detailer brush
  • Apply brown shadow above your crease and bottom lash line
  • Mix NYC primer & highlighter (or just use a concealer) on your lid.
  • Apply a loose sparkly eyeshadow or pigment to your eye lid.
  • Using a liquid eye liner, line your eyes starting at the inner corner of your eye with a flick outside of the tear duct. Line all the way out to the wing and start to line your lower lash line (not your water line).
  • Wait a few minutes for the liquid liner to dry. Now with a pencil eyeliner, go over the liner on the bottom lash line making it more smudged and intense, line your waterline and tighline if you wish.
  • Use false lashes or your normal mascara and lash fibres like the Magnifibre Brush on Lashes

How to do the base?

  • Apply a primer to a clean and moisturised face, wait for it to get absorbed to your skin.
  • Using a foundation brush, apply your foundation all over your face (I blended some of my sparkly loose eyeshadow to my foundation for a glowing look)
  • Clean up and brighten your under eye using a concealer
  • Using a contouring shade, apply quite a lot on to a medium sized brush or a contouring brush and draw a "line" along the hollows of your cheeks- blend this out a lot to avoid a harsh line.
  • Contour the sides of your forehead
  • Use a highlighter on the apples of your cheeks

How to do the lips?

  • Start off with moisturised and non chapped lips
  • For an even neater effect, you can use a lip pencil, I didn't do this
  • Apply some concealer around your mouth and cupids bow
  • Apply highlighter to your cupids bow
  • Apply your lipstick using a thiner lip brush
  • I used Calvin Klein lipstick

♥ Green & Yellow EOTD

Green, Turquoise and Yellow EOTD

Here is a quick EOTD for you guys. Not entirely happy with this as it was a really quick look I did a few days ago in about 10 minutes, and I also took the pictures really quick so I didn't get a good picture of it.

Again, here is a pic of what I used. In the picture you see the lightest shade on the left from my ELF Palette, the black & green eyeshadow from my MUA Glitterbomb palette and a turquoise matte from INGLOT which I used in my crease. One of the reasons I am not happy with the pic is because you can't really see the turquoise shade which I used more of than the green shimmery one.

Also, forgot to take a pic of the yellow matte INGLOT eyeshadow, which I am sure you can see in my EOTD pic anyway :)

♥ Plum & Bright Purple EOTD

Plum & Bright Purple EOTD

Purple_plum_eye_makeup

Today's EOTD is a look  I created using MUA Shade 9 'Pearl' and Sleek 'Festive'. MUA pearl is a really bright and colourful purple which can look blue in some lights. Sleek festive is more of a soft plummy shade, and I thought these two really different shades of purple could work well together.

It is a really easy look to do using only two main shadows. MUA Shade 9 'Pearl' on the lid, Sleek 'Festive' in the crease, Sleek black 'Starry Night' for definition and INGLOT beige matte eyeshadow as a transitioning colour and brow bone highlight.

In my last EOTD which was the smokey, sharp Black & Yellow eye makeup look, I asked if you wanted to see a picture of what I used as opposed to a list. The feedback I got was that you'd rather see a pic, so here you go!

♥ Black & Yellow, Black & Yellow..

Black & Yellow, Black & Yellow..

Here is a EOTD I did last night. Initially I was going to do some kind of green/yellow & black smokey eye using my Sleek Sparkle 2 palette but it didn't turn out that way.

It is a really easy look to do, by placing some cello tape at the side of your eye, your creating that sharp line where the black eyeshadow is. I applied liquid eyeliner at my top lash line as usual and then applied some in the inner corner of my eye, and some at the outer corner. The middle section I filled in using a eyeliner pencil from INIKA (organic). The white pencil eyeliner I used is super pigmented and very affordable, from NYC. See below what I used in the picture.

Here is everything I used. Do you prefer me taking pictures of what I used, or listing it, or both?

The yellow matte INGLOT shadow is really pigmented and is what I used on my lid, I topped it with some of the shimmery yellow shadow below from the Sleek Palette.

What do you think of this look?
