Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Nourishing Lotion, Hand Cream and Body Butter

Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Nourishing Lotion, Hand Cream and Body Butter (*)

Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Nourishing Lotion, Hand Cream and Body Butter

Today I am reviewing the Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Nourishing Lotion, Hand Cream and Body Butter, all of which are very much needed with this current weather we've got going on in London. They are all aimed at dry skin or for anyone who feels like they need an extra nourishing cream during the cold winter months. I like creams aimed at dry skin because I definitely think they are necessary after showering once or twice per day, and scrubbing daily as well.

Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Nourishing Lotion: This contains pretty heavy ingredients like Shea Butter & Petroleum and also loads of nourishing and hydrating ingredients like Urea (found in your skin's own Natural Moisturising System) and Collagen Amino Acids. This is pretty heavy but definitely not heavy enough to use in the morning after you showered, as this is how I use it. If you use to much it can have a bit of a sticky feel, but it gets absorbed quickly and I haven't felt sticky or greasy when putting my clothes on after using this.

Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Hand Cream: Just before I was sent these products, I had purchased a Dove hand cream and really liked it. Compared to that one, and most hand creams this is definitely the thick kind which I really like. A lot of hand creams make your hands super soft but I think you need a really thick one to stop your cuticles from going dry- dry cuticles is such a bad look lol! Since I already had the other Dove hand creams when I got this, I would use this Winter Care one in the morning and last thing in the evening.

Dove Limited Edition Winter Care Body Butter: Obviously this is the butter version of the lotion mentioned above, so the key ingredients are fairly similar but the formula is thicker. If you have extremely dry skin you can use it daily, or if you have normal skin you can use it overnight or use it on dry areas like feet etc.

Overall? So I really enjoyed using all of these and they've got some interesting ingredients like Urea, Amino Acids, Natural Oils and butters. I would recommend these for someone with dry skin and who does not mind using a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients as they also contain ingredients like mineral oil, silicones and parabens. And as with all Dove products, I really like the fragrance even though it is pretty subtle.

Have you tried these products?
What's your favourite Dove skin care product?

Recent FOTD, Red Lips & Side Swept Flat Twist Out

Recent FOTD, Red Lips & Side Swept Flat Twist Out

Hi Guys, so it's been a little while. As usual I have quite a few blog posts prepared, but never get around to posting. Main reason right now is that I've just moved to a new place and I haven't sorted out WIFI yet, so I currently only have my phone internet.  If you follow me on Instagram you'll see that this was actually me a few weeks ago but I'm sure your used to old FOTD's by now.

I actually haven't been wearing this hair style recently because it doesn't even last for a day now that it is literally raining constantly and that it is super humid. Also, for those of you who read my natural hair posts, an update is soo over due so I'll make sure to get that post up soonish.

What posts would you like to see more of on my blog?
Feel free to link your most recent FOTD post :)

Karamel and Brown Glow Face Crème

Karamel and Brown Glow Face Crème

Karamel and Brown Try Size Glow Face Crème Review and Ingredients

Here is some info about Karamel & Brown from their website: "The new beauty brand Karamel & Brown brings an innovative dimension to the beauty industry, through introducing a brand new concept aimed at brown skin tones. The revolutionary Glow range enhances the natural beauty of Asian, Black and Mixed Heritage complexions, giving the skin a nourishing, hydrating and long lasting glow. "

Karamel and Brown Glow Face Creme 200ml, £16.95 (*)- So before I was sent this product to try out, I had never ever tried fake tan before, nor planned on trying it out either.  Fake tan kind of only made me think of the white girl gone orange look and that is not cute. Anyway, Karamel & Brown are a brand who actually are aimed at brown skin tones. The product will give you a tan similar to that you get in the summer, and it can help even out hyper pigmentation or old acne scarring.

At first glance when you squeeze a little product out of the bottle- it looks pretty thick. However this is a really, really light cream as you can probably tell from the far right pic. Despite being thin it was nourishing enough to use instead of a night cream, and it is light enough to use instead of your day cream as well. If you check out the ingredient list from the first pic you will see that it contains mainly natural ingredients with Aloe Vera and oils like Jojoba Oil. The only "controversial" ingredient I can see is "Propylene Glycol", which unfortunately is pretty far up in the ingredient list. Also, I was really surprised that this product smells super yummy, kind of like a mix of Coconut and Karamel or something!

Results? I noticed results after the first time I used it, actually so much so that I skipped the next application and used it only once per day, in the evening. It is possible that for people of darker skin tones than me you'd need a few more applications before seeing results and for lighter shades maybe less. My skin went from having always been good my whole life to bad like a year ago and it has just got better, and I do have a little bit of scarring which definitely seemed to be less visible after I had worn this cream for a couple of days. I actually wore no makeup what so ever for a couple of weeks while trying this product. After you have achieved the results (the shade) you like, you can keep up the results by applying it every other day or so, or ever evening. I really enjoyed using this and I can see myself repurchasing it when I run out, if it runs out while it is still winter time that is! If you prefer quality and natural ingredients, this is a great choice as (I am guessing), most commercial fake tan creams probably contain a lot of rubbish ingredients!

Do you use fake tan?
Have you heard of this brand?

Exante Diet Review And Pictures- Simple Solution

Exante Diet Review And Pictures- Simple Solution

Today I am reviewing these food products from the Exante diet. Just as I decided to go back to the gym again after almost a year long break I saw on Twitter that Exante were looking for bloggers to review their products, and I just thought the timing was perfect!

How does it work? So I received quite a few products to try out. Once you have your products, you can decide whether to follow either of these three diet plans: the Simple Solution, Working solution or Total Solution. For each of them, you'd use the same products and only how many additional meals you have will vary.

Here is a little info about their products "All of our soups, shakes, bars and food packs (porridge, pasta carbonara, shepherds pie etc) are Total Meal replacements. By using 3 of our products a day to replace your normal meals you can cut down your daily calories, and you'll still receive 100% of your Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) of vitamins and minerals. This means that you stay fit and healthy whilst you lose weight, because your body has all that it needs to enable safe and effective weight loss." Find a link to their product ingredient lists here.

Exante Diet Review And Pictures- Simple Solution

So this is what the packaging of the products look like, for the Simple Solution, I got a mix of breakfast, lunch and ready meals. I got the flavoured shakes in: Strawberry, Toffee Caramel, Banana, Vanilla, Chocolate and Chocolate and Mint. For ready meals I got the Spagetti Bolognese, Pasta Cabonara, Red Bean Chili, Shepherd's Pie and Curry. The "breakfast food" I got were the Porridge Oats and the lunch type of food was the Mushroom & Tomato and Basil soups.

Below you can find my favourite of each type of meal, and some thoughts on them. In the end I will put my overall thoughts on all of the Exante Diet products I have tried.

Exante Diet Shaker Bottle and Chocolate and Mint Shake

Information about the Exante Diet shakes: "Exante's diet shakes are thick, creamy and formulated specifically for weight loss. They are high protein, low carb and we've made sure they contain NO aspartame, NO artificial colours, NO MSG and have NO genetically modified products! 3 packs gives you 100% RDA's for vitamins and minerals."

So I received this Shaker Bottle for my shakes. It came with a stainless steel ball inside of it, to help the shakes mix properly when you are shaking it. I didn't realise so for the first shakes I tried (Chocolate & Vanilla), I tried them without using it and they were thick and not properly mixed. After using it the proper way, with the steel ball inside- they turned out so much nicer. The consistency is pretty thin but they are super tasty! My favourite is this one in the pictures, chocolate and mint, and also the toffee caramel ones. As mentioned in the info, they do not contain aspartame but they use the sweetener Sucralose instead. A little tip, these contain a lot of added vitamins, minerals and best of all- a lot of protein! So bring the Shaker bottles with you and your favourite shake to drink straight after a gym session!
Check out all of the shakes here.

Exante Diet Porridge Oats Breakfast Food

Information about the Exante Diet Porridge Oats: "Exante Diet Porridge Oats - the perfect winter warmer. This generous portion will fill you up whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have recently updated the composition of the Porridge Oats pack, so some of you may find the product less sweet than previously. If you like it sweeter then feel free to add a tablet sweetener or how about some cinnamon for a nice change."

I was pretty surprised to discovered that this was one of my favourite food products, as I usually don't actually like porridge. The taste is really, really nice and contrary to what you might think from the info above suggestion that you might want to add some more sweetener- it already taste pretty sweet. Again, it is sweetened with sucralose and as with all of the other products, it contains added vitamin and minerals. The instructions tell you to microwave it for a couple of minutes, however, I'd say add a few minutes to what it says on the pack, or simply microwave it until you get the consistency you prefer. I always eat breakfast, and quite a lot- and I was surprised that this was actually very filling on its own. If you are used to light breakfast, this will be enough, otherwise- have a boiled egg on the side or some fruits.

Exante Diet Mushoom Risotto

Information about the Exante Diet Mushroom Risotto: "Exclusive to Exante, you won’t find this stunning meal anywhere else in the UK! This lovely creamy mushroom risotto is packed with flavour while still being high in protein and fibre!"

As this contains rice, I thought this was okay to eat on its own. However some of the other ready meals, like Red Bean Chilli (see below)- I would personally eat with something like rice or pasta. This was really taste and had a lot of flavour. Again, when you microwave this, you might want to leave it in a little longer than the packaging says to get the right consistency. I really enjoyed this meal but as it isn't a really big, I would personally have it as lunch for instance.

Exante Diet Red Bean Chilli

Information about the Extante Diet Red Bean Chilli: Packed with full red kidney beans and sweetcorn, this spicy beef style meal is a real favourite. Suitable for vegetarians.

This was my favourite ready meal, although I did have it with pasta, so if you are following the diet step by step- this is supposed to be eaten on its own as you can see in the product pictures on the website. It was really easy to get to a nice consistency and had a lot of flavour in it, and as they mention in the description- it contains loads of beans. It is a little spicy and very tasty.

So my overall thoughts? To start with, along with the products you can a few sheets of information about the diet which explains, how and why it works. And with calorie and eligibility for the different types of diet programmes they offer which was really helpful. If you try out the programme you don't have to worry about planning your meals as it is all thought through- and the total calories and vitamins/mineral per day have been calculated to match your personal (chosen) diet plan. The products do not contain aspartame (but instead Sucralose), no MSG trans fats or GM ingredients. All of their products are high in protein, fibre and vitamins and minerals and (from what I can see) they are all suitable for vegetarians. The allergens are either mentioned or highlighted in bold on the ingredient lists, and some contain gluten, lactose, both or other allergens. So if you have any allergies- just check each individual ingredient list. I really like the fact that they all come in powder form because they are so easy to bring with you somewhere, to store and probably to sit in your cupboard for a little while if you like to stock up on products. If you don't want to eat sweeteners, these are probably not for you. Also, if you don't have a microwave you will definitely struggle. Unfortunately I am moving soon and won't and I have a couple of products left so I might have to invest in one!

Have you tried any food products like these? Do you have any questions about the products I have tried? I included loads of direct links so it would be easy to check out any products you are interested in reading more about.

Furr Cardigan and Leather Trouser Autumn Outfit Post

Furr Cardigan and Leather Trouser Autumn Outfit Post

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice Christmas. I just wanted to share a little outfit post with some pictures that me and my friend took a while back. Nothing special we were both wearing pretty casual autumn outfits and didn't plan to take pics before hands, but my friend happened to have a great spot to take pics so my visit to hers turned into a little photo session haha.
Check out my other fashion posts here & outfit posts here.

Yes, I am aware that my eyes are closed in this picture but I am the kind of person who, if I am trying to not close my eyes- I will. Lol we asked some girl to take this picture and she literally took over 5 pictures, for all of which I tried (and failed) to not close my eyes. As this is the only pic of me and my friend, this will do anyway.

|| Zara: Furr Collar Cardigan || Bershka: Leather Trousers || New Look: Black Golden Zip Boots || Zara: Beige Shopper Bag ||

I believe my friend's leather trousers are from Zara, and she is wearing those trainer wedges from Nike (no we did not plan to wear almost the same trousers lol). Check out my friend's food blog here.

Do you like or dislike outfit posts in my blog?
When I started off I actually mainly put up outfit posts, and not so much beauty posts.

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll and Guava Review

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll and Guava Review

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll and Guava Review

Today I'll be reviewing these Earthnicity Liquid lips (*) in the shades Babydoll and Guava. If you didn't already know, Earthnicity is a UK natural makeup brand and I have previously reviewed the Earthnicity mineral eyeshadows and done some makeup looks with the which you can check out here and here.

As you can see, they are highly pigmented and you would want to apply them using a lip brush. I think they are very very similar to the OCC Lip Tars or Sleek Pout Paints, and sort of a fully natural dupe to them!

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll and Guava swatches

I chose these two shades myself, and the first one up is the Earthnicity Liquid Lips "Babydoll". It is that typical light, baby pink shade which I think is a must to have! I have worn in on some selfies on my Instagram and actually received comments about what shade I was wearing. As with most light shades, well especially if you aren't light skinned- you need to play about with it a little to make it look nice. I find that the edges sometimes look to harsh and weird with lighter shades.

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll Review

Next one up is the Earthnicity Liquid Lips "Guava" I thought this shade was cute and something I didn't already own, the picture have actually captured the shade very well and it is kind of a dark coral shade. This is super pigmented and very creamy and glossy!

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Guava Review

They staying power is good for both of them but I'd say it is a little less than for example the Sleek Pout Paints, which even after fading sort of stay on as a lip stain on the lips. But looking at the amazing and fully natural ingredient list- I am so impressed with the way these apply and how extremely pigmented they are. You won't even need to apply lip balm before using these as they only contain natural oils and waxes.

Earthnicity Liquid Lips Babydoll and Guava Review Ingredient List

Have you tried out Earthnicity Products?
Check out my other posts on them here.

Which one is your favourite shades out of these two?

Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail Review on Natural Hair

Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail Review on Natural Hair

Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail Review on Natural Hair
Sorry guys- no makeup! This is a hair review after all :)

Today I will be sharing my first hair piece review! I got to choose a product from http://www.foxyhairextensions.net/ and I picked the Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail "Cappuccino" (*) as I thought it could work on my natural hair when straightened- for an updo with some extra length.

I chose the shade Cappuccino hoping it would be a match to the colour of my hair, and I think it was quite a close match. The hair piece is made with synthetic hair and is 18 inch. On the right side you can see a separate, curled section of hair, this is what you use around your ponytail, to cover up the area where the pony tail attaches to your hair. As with most synthetic hair it does get tangled pretty easily, especially as it is 18 inch which is pretty long. Also, this hair is very straight and probably more suitable from someone with straight hair, relaxed afro hair  or curly/afro hair that has been blown out or straightened.

Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail Review on Natural Hair

I decided to see what it would look like as a bun, as I didn't actually blow out or straighten my hair for this post- it was just stretched from previous hair styles and pulled back in a bun. Therefore wearing a long, bone straight 18 inch pony tail might not look very natural! I actually really love how this looks as a bun. I started off with applying the ponytail as in the pics above, then I just wrapped the hair around itself and secured it with bobbi pins. If you are wearing this look make sure you use a lot of bobbi pins as this hair is quite "slippery".

Foxy Hair Extensions Synthetic Wrap Around Ponytail Bun Review on Natural Hair

What do you think looks better, the bun or the long ponytail?
Have you ordering anything from Foxy Hair before?

X-Mas Gift Idea: Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit

X-Mas Gift Idea: Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit

Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit from M&S Review

Hi everyone! So I've had this Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit (*) for quite some time now, and I only just got around to posting it. Thought it would be a pretty good time to publish it now that we are getting closer to Christmas- I really enjoyed this kit and it would make a great Christmas present for someone. Here are the directions for this kit:

"Directions:  Step 1: Smooth neutral primer onto clean, moisturised skin and allow to dry Step 2: Using the chisel brush, apply 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup in circular motions to achieve an even and flawless finish. Layer as needed for desired coverage. Step 3: Using a powder brush or the chisel brush, sweep mineral glow over your face and neck for a healthy glow. Step 4: Complete the look with impact+ mascara. Comb wand through upper and lower lashes with slow, delicate, repeated strokes"- Marks & Spencers website.

Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit from M&S Review Pressed Mineral Makeup and Bronzer

Pür Minerals Minerals Glow Bronzer: This is a gorgeous shimmery bronze and exactly the shade I love using! I tend to use shimmery bronzers more like blushers, especially in the summers when I am already tanned. When I still had some left of the Pür Minerals Mineral Pressed Mineral Makeup I used a thin layer of the bronzer all of my face to correct the shade as the powder is a little too light for me.

Pür Minerals Minerals Pressed Mineral Makeup: Okay so I absolutely LOVE this, I featured it in my most recent favourites post and you can see in that pictures that I had already hit pan. I used it instead of foundation, even when my skin was pretty bad and the coverage was amazing. As I mentioned above, the shade was a little too light so I used a layer of bronzer on top of it. When I only had a small amount left, I used a Real Techniques eyeshadow brushed to get the product out and used it as a concealer under my eyes- it worked really well!

Pür Minerals 5-Piece Start Now Kit from M&S Review Primer, Mascara and Makeup Brush

Pür Minerals Minerals Chisel Brush: I think this was good for applying the Pür Minerals Mineral Pressed Mineral Makeup but it did shed quite a bit. Also, it is pretty hard on your skin, especially for a brush that you use to sort of work in the products. You get great coverage using this though!

Pür Minerals Minerals Pressed Impact+ Mascara: This is a great every day mascara and it has quite a tiny wand that reaches all of your lashes. I do have some results pictures for this mascara but I might do a separate post on that.

Pür Minerals Minerals Correcting Primer: This is like the typical silicone based primer with amazing slips, but the formula looks and feels a little like a normal face moisturiser as opposed to the typical clear primer. If you have normal skin you could use this instead of your normal moisturiser.

Overall, I am very pleased with this kit and all the products are great quality. I'd recommend this as a gift set, literally a started set if you want to try out some products before buying the full size or just an extra set to have when travelling or staying over at someone else's. I actually brought them last time I wen't to Sweden and the sizes of them are perfect!

Have you tried this brand or any of these products?

Cavells Fashion Wish List Collage

Cavells Fashion Wish List Collage

MICHAEL KORS CYNTHIA MEDIUM SATCHEL || VELVET LONG SLEEVE PEPLUM TOP || OUI PANELLED PENCIL SKIRT || PAOLIBALLERINA SUEDE SLIPPER SHOE || CONTINENTAL ZIP PURSE ||

So I am back with another fashion collage post. This time I've picked my favourites from the online fashion store Cavells.co.uk. I absolutely love a nice pink leather purse, in fact, it's the only type of purse I've had for the last like 5 years or so. This one is from Mikael Kors and I haven't had that one yet but it's so cute. Even thought it's winter now the rest of the items are probably more suitable for spring, so hey, something to look forward to.

Some info about Cavells: "Founded in 1993 Cavells has evolved into one of the most successful independent fashion stores in the UK. Cavells provides some of the most stylish and selected shopping for men and women outside London. The store stocks over 100 brands including Marc Cain, Oui, Mulberry, Paul Smith, Gant and Ralph Lauren with over 30 brands devoted to footwear and accessories. Visit Cavells for the ultimate shopping experience."

Which one is your favourite?
Do you have Mikael Kors bag or Purse?

House of Fraser Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion Preview

House of Fraser Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion Preview

I attend this a few weeks back and saw a lot of pieces that I liked. I did share quite a few pictures on my Instagram but I do understand that not everyone who follows my blog, follows my Instagram so I thought I'd share some picture in a blog post as well. For those who are not from the UK, House of Fraser is a department store who sells all kinds of things, but this was a preview of their coming fashion items.

Again, if you follow my Instagram you might have noticed my new found love for pattern trousers and I thought these were really cute. Of course I absolutely love Chunky necklaces and who doesn't love a nice leather jacket. I'd actually really love to buy one of these for spring, as I only own black leather jackets so far.

They had tons of pretty bag, mostly designer ones so definitely not in my usual price range lol! I am pretty sure you recognise the brand of the top one, and the two bottoms ones are from Biba- a brand I really like, my purse is from there and they've got really cute bags. As you most probably know as you are on my blog which is called "Pink and Leopard Prints", I do love a good leopard print and adore the Biba leopard print bag bottom left.

I love the way they arranged the bags at the top, such pretty prints!

This drink was soo nice, it was a non alcoholic cocktail and the mint made it taste so yummy :)

What are you favourites from the preview, out of these ones?

Xmas Party Ready with Dove Intensive Repair & Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner Review

Dove Intensive Repair & Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner Review

So I was given this pretty box of Dove goodies a while ago. The concept behind this box is that these products will get you ready in a hot second- perfect for any upcoming Christmas party or other parties or even blog event you have to attend! I can definitely relate to wanting to treat my hair but not having the time to deep condition as long or often as I'd like to so I really like the idea of this! They also generously included a pair of cosy slippers and a soothing eye mask to enjoy on a cosy night in or after the party!

DOVE INTENSIVE REPAIR EXPRESS TREATMENT CONDITIONER (*)

"Dove Intensive Repair Express Treatment Conditioner works in just one minute. Our dual action formula contains Fibre Actives™ technology which penetrate deep inside the hair to help reinforce damaged proteins without weighing hair down as well as helping to repair and sealing lifted cuticles to help protect against future damage. Prevents split ends and breakage."- Dove's Website
So instead of the normal deep conditioner that you usually let sit in your hair for a while- this can be used daily (or as often as you wash your hair) instead of your usual conditioner, and is designed to work on your hair in just one minute. The formula is white, pretty thick and smells very nice. It has normal slip and I definitely think that it feels more like a deep conditioner than a regular conditioner. I left it in for a minute as instructed and then rinsed out. Afterwards my hair felt super soft and smelt super nice I'd say it is the type of conditioner that "repairs" your hair on the outside, as the description above says- by sealing lifted cuticles. It contains both silicones and mineral oil which I assume are some of the ingredients helping with that.

COLOUR RADIANCE EXPRESS TREATMENT CONDITIONER (*)

"Introducing the next generation of daily conditioner with the added benefits of a treatment and the best bit is that it works in just one minute! The dual action formula gives you instant nourishment; the Colour Revitaliser™ Stripe contains a UV filter and is specially formulated to seal the cuticle and protect coloured hair, whilst the nourishment stripe replenishes and helps repair hair from the inside. So your hair is, replenished, revitalised and your colour more vibrant* looking for up to 10 weeks".- Dove's Website
Contrary to the other conditioner, the formula of this felt more like a regular conditioner than a deep conditioner as it was a little thinner. Unless I was imagining this- it looked like a mix of pink and white coloured conditioner in there- pretty cool! This one, as you can see above is more so design to protect and nourish coloured hair and contains some strengthening ingredients. This had a little more slip which is always useful if you have curly or just very tangly hair. After rinsing my curls looked soo nice and shiny! I'd say this is definitely my favourite out of the two products.

Ingredient Check:
  • Silicones (√)
  • Mineral Oil (√)
  • Propylene/Butylene Glycol (/)
  • Parabens (/)

SUMMARY

If you don't mind using silicones & mineral oil in your hair care products, I'd recommend these instead of your regular conditioner, combined with deep conditioners that can also strengthen your hair from within. My personal favourite is the Dove Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner as it contains some nice ingredients like Wheat Protein, Almond and Coconut oil and Silica. The Dove Intensive Repair Express Treatment Conditioner probably suits someone who wants damaged hair to quickly look more healthy and does not mind using synthetic ingredients.

Have you tried any of these?
What do you think of the idea of an express conditioner?

Greek Yoghurt Berry Smoothie Recipe with Cinnamon and Flaxseed

Greek Yoghurt Berry Smoothie Recipe with Cinnamon and Flaxseed

Hey, so in addition to trying to get back to posting regularly and I trying to start posting some of the things that I used to post more often before, like health & fitness posts and DIY's and tutorials. So first up is this smoothie recipe. I have posted a similar recipe once or twice but with Soy Milk so here is another version.

• Greek Yoghurt
• Mixed Berries
• Cinnamon
• Flaxseeds
• Honey and/or banan to sweeten

As I mentioned, you can also use Soy milk instead of Greek Yoghurt, it is a lot cheaper and doesn't taste as much. But this is the last time I post this same recipe and I really really need some new smoothie recipes, So do you have any nice recipes for a healthy smoothie?

Pls share

Barry M Lip Paint "Punky Pink" Shade 145 Review

Barry M Lip Paint "Punky Pink" Shade 145 Review

So this Barry M Lip Paint "Punky Pink" Shade 145 was a pretty random purchase a few weeks ago with my friend from Uni. I study Cosmetic Science in central London and when you are based in Oxford Circus, those 3 hour breaks are dangerous! Now I just go straight home because otherwise I'll be temped to go into the shops.

Barry M Lip Paint "Punky Pink" Shade 145 Review and Ingredient list
So I used this in my recent FOTD post, see here. The first thing I noticed now as I am writing the review is that it is really really similar to the MUA shade 3 which I reviewed here a long while back. Anyway I got this lipstick from Topshop for £4.49 which I do think is a little over priced for this type of lipstick. I would say the staying power is better than the MUA one but it has a similar, pretty basic ingredient list with Mineral Oil topping the list. A few years back I refused to use anything containing Mineral Oil but these days I am more okay with them in lipsticks, as the main purpose of those are not to moisturise or make your lips softer.

Barry M Lip Paint "Punky Pink" Shade 145 Review and Ingredient list

The formula is, as you can probably see very pigmented but it is definitely on the creamy side and contrary to matte lipsticks, the staying powder of this type of lipstick is not that good. It does stay on pretty well for a few hours though. I actually love the fact that it is so creamy and I am definitely pleased with this over all :)

Ingredient Check:
  • Silicones (/)
  • Mineral Oil (√)
  • Propylene/Butylene glycol (√)
  • Parabens (/)
Find the full ingredient list here on the Barry M website by clicking "Product Ingredients" in the lower right corner

Have you tried the Barry M Lip Paints (Lipsticks).
What do you think of this one?

Hair Care: Ecoco Inc Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel Vs. Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel, Comparison & Review

Hair Care: Ecoco Inc Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel Vs. Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel
Comparison & Review

Ecoco Inc Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel Vs. Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel, Comparison & Review

Ecoco Inc Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel

"Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel contains 100% Pure Olive Oil for deep down conditioning while maintaining maximum hold. Contains UV Protection and helps your scalp regulate its natural moisture system. For all hair types. Used by professionals."- Sallys.com

So this is the first of the Eco Styler gels that I tried out. I had just done my "big chop" (read about it here) and I bought it to use on my edges. Now this is suppose to have a 10/10 hold, and I definitely do not agree with that. It's more of a 7/ 8 as it does keep your edge in place, but they don't stay as neat all day and it doesn't leave that crunchy feeling on your head. I personally do not want a stronger hold so this product work fine for me! I think it gives a natural looking result which is perfect if you don't want that slicked/greasy edges look- I know I don't lol!

Ecoco Inc Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel

"Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Styling Gel is formulated with rare oils extracted from kernels of the Argan tree in Morocco. The formula conditions and revitalizes the hair while adding a brilliant shine. Moisturizes providing hydration and elasticity to hair."- Sallys.com

  • When my Olive Oil Eco Styler gel finished I decided to give this a try. Looking at the ingredient list below they are practically the same except for this product the Olive Oil is swapped with Argan Oil. Again, this product is claimed to have a 10/10 which I still don't agree with. I think this product feels slightly "oiler" than the Olive Oil one and has less hold, maybe like a 5. It doesn't keep my edges looking as neat as they do with the Olive Oil Eco Styler gel, but I am usually not going for the perfectly laid edges look so for me that isn't really an issue.

Conclusion

  •  I really like both of these products but I don't think neither of them give the promised 10/10 hold. For me, the Eco Styler Argan Oil had a little less hold so I would recommend it to use for a more natural look, or to use when styling your hair in a braid out, twist out or flat twist out. I never got any build up or a crunchy feel with either of these products the way I used them. If I had to pick a favourite I will probably have to go with the Olive Oil one as it did keep my edges looking a bit more neat than the Eco Styler Argan Oil did.

Ingredient Check:
  • Silicones (/)
  • Mineral Oil (/)
  • Propylene/Butylene Glycol (/)
  • Glycerin (√)
  • Parabens (/)
  • ! It contains Wheat Protein so it is to be avoided if you are allergic to Gluten.

Have you tried either of these products, which one did you prefer?
And if not, what is your favourite gel and how do you use it?

Pink Barry M Lipstick FOTD

Pink Barry M Lipstick FOTD

So to make up for ridiculously infrequent blogging from my side I have about 7 posts lined up to be posted daily starting today. I have major issues with my WIFI at home at the moment but I am currently at university, scheduling all my posts.

This is a FOTD from a few days ago, nothing special and I am using pretty much the same makeup as you can see in my everyday makeup tutorial video on Youtube. When I am feeling lazy I always wear my hair in a puff like this, even though I know it will cause my hair to be super tangled when I then wash it..

What do you think of this look?
I am trying out a new Barry M lipstick that I bought a few weeks back, will review it soon.

xx

See everything I used in the video below :)
